Veterans Day Research Paper

Every year we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11th. Veterans Day is a day where we honor the men and women, dead or alive who served in the military. There are four different branches of the military; Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines, and each branch plays a unique role in our country. When I discovered the benefits of the military, like free college after 36 months, or amazing Medicare, I thought, “I should join the military!” When I hear the word military, the first thing that comes to my mind is “justice”. The word justice comes to my mind because of the Things the military do for us and the country. The reasons I want to be in the military is about the service: one of the biggest reasons I want to join is that I will serve the country and be one of the people to keep terrorists out of this country and keep my family; along with many others safe. To join the Airforce, you are required to pass a test called the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) which accommodates various tests: Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, and the Armed forces qualification test. The passing score to enlist is in the low 30’s for high school graduates, but at least a 50 for GED’s (general education development). You also need decorum to join.
