Honoring Men of War

Veterans deserve our respect for what they did for our county while they were enlisted in the armed forces. Veterans should be honored because they protected our country, they risked their lives to protect ours, and they were also willing to obey the commands that were given to them and follow them without hesitation. Veterans protected our country and the world, knowing that each day may be their last. They fought for the freedom of our country and the freedom of the world. This was very important to them and that was why they went out to fight in the first place. If there weren't any men willing to fight the wars, then our country would not be free today, we might have been

Some of us put ourselves in positions where it can come early for example the jobs we choose like veterans there fighting for us, we didn't make nor told them to they do it because it's something they want to do the only thing we can do is give our appreciation because they put themselves in that position to fight on the battlefield we shouldn't half to owe them anything.…

Veterans Day is one of the most well respected holidays in the U.S. Veterans day is a day to honor our troops. No country has ever achieved as much as the United States has. The U.S. would have never increased into the amounts of protection towards our freedom and justice it is today without the sacrifices our heroes have made. Our heroes risk their lives not only at war, but at home. While our veterans are out fighting for our freedom, they cannot be at home supporting and making great memories with their families.…

A veteran to me is a patriotic, unselfish, brave, and courageous person, who would sacrifice time from their families to serve and protect our nation. As Jeff Miller once said, “The willingness of America’s Veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.” Veterans from every country have served throughout many wars. They have put their blood, sweat, and effort into doing the right and beneficial thing for their nation. Being a veteran means not only to serve in the military, but it means to have the selflessness and courage to go off to war to ensure the freedom of the nation.…

The question being asked of me is “Why Veterans are Important to Our Nation’s History and Future?” Veterans are important to me because I live with two of them and I have a lot of them in my family. Without them, I wouldn’t know the reason why we have people sacrificing themselves for our country. My Grandpa, Roy Noble, always said that “War is not good but fighting for our country is,” I didn’t really understand that until I realized without them we wouldn’t have a free country. Britain would have taken over and we would have a queen instead of a president, or something like that.…

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day.…
