The Day of Heroes

Veterans Day is the day we honor the people in our country who fought our wars, and helped us all. It is the one day everyone comes together to appreciate our heroes. There are some people in the world who are not sure what Veterans day is for, or what it is about. Those people are not to blame, because they were not educated for Veterans Day, and do not understand what the point is.

Veterans Day, or originally called Armistice Day, took place on November 11th, 1918. The day took place to show respect for the people who willingly gave their lives to serve the country. It did not instantly become a national holiday though. It became a legal federal holiday in the United States after 1938. The name Armistice
