Very informative case study, according to Burnett, Vardiman, Deckert, Ward, & Sharpe, (2016), 80 to 90 % of individuals with asthma can develop exercise-induce bronchoconstriction (EIB) which is characterized by chest tightness, wheezing, and SOB. Due to this alarming rate it is imperative for athletics pt with asthma to be educated about the risk, how to minimize the chances of getting the symptoms, and treatments. Medication treatment was very well explained in your case study, I would just like to add that it is important to teach the patients or parents to rinse their mouth after using albuterol inhaler to minimize the risk of dry mouth ().
