Vertigo is conflict between the signals sent to brain by various balance and position sensing systems of the body. Brain uses vision, sensory nerves, and skin pressure, and portion of the inner ear to maintain your sense of balance orientation to the surroundings. Common cause of vertigo is inner ear disorders, migraine headaches, and decreased blood flow to brain. Alcohol and many prescription medication can also cause vertigo. Dizziness is used to describe as feeling of about to faint or pass out although you may feel dizzy but you do not feel as you or your surrounding are moving.
