This article was written in the late 1990’s, but I still believe that it holds true because of the importance of creating lessons that are meaningful to students while aligning curriculum to assessments and vertically throughout grade levels. Another reason why this article is reliable is because it also stresses the need for lessons created by teachers are to be taught to mastery. In present times, we are teachers are still trying to help our students reach mastery. The article outlines some ways to help our students master lessons and curriculums.
