Veronica Roth, at just 27 years of age, is now a proficient author and short story writer, and has won 3 awards for her top of the line trilogy Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant. The youngest of three, Veronica Roth was born in New York however, she was raised, for the most part, in Illinois after her parents separated at five years old. After graduating from high school, she went to Carleton College in Minnesota. She later transferred to Northwestern University in Illinois to earn a creative writing degree.
