From a consumer perspective, if a group feels prejudice, then they simply will not support that product or service. One would not buy a meal from McDonalds if you knew the CEO was racist towards your culture. By representing all groups equally, a company can ensure that they will have consumers from all groups. From a company perspective, it would be very naïve to assume you know what another demographic wants in their product or service. An American will not have the same requirements as someone from Japan. By hiring people of all groups, a company can gain all perspectives and input.
