Through failure, an individual finds the need to continue striving towards their goals, eventually leading to success through perseverance. Vera Wang an extremely successful fashion designer, was rejected from her dream, but she stayed tenacious and pursued designing clothing. She grew up doing ballet and figure skating, and for years she devoted her time to these activities. In 1968 she tried out for the U.S. Olympic figure skating team, but she was rejected. Distraught, she then decided to pursue her interest in fashion. She got her start when she was hired by Vogue, an extremely popular fashion magazine. They hired her to be an editor, and she kept that job for 15 years. Eventually, she wanted was hired by Ralph Lauren, a high class fashion brand as their design director. At both of these positions she worked extremely hard and continued to be humbled by the privileged jobs she was able to attain. Over time, she began to design her own clothing, and her specialty, which she is most well-known for are her wedding dresses. Vera Wang worked hard to pursue her dream which she was eventually rejected from, but it only drove her to work harder and pursue her interest which led her to become tremendously successful. Sir James Dyson had a little over 5,000 failed prototypes, but he unrelentingly kept trying until he succeeded which contributed to his achievement of his ambition. J.K. Rowling was denied by 12 publishing companies, but this only pushed her to keep sending her manuscript out. Had it not been for her perseverance caused by her hunger to prosper, she would have not been known for her famous works we know today.
