The Avenger is characterized as forgiving, which demonstrates that he knows that it’s wrong to hurt others and get revenge.When the Avenger walked into Dun, “it was like a city of the dead ,and the bodies of those who had been killed in the last defense, lay where they had fallen” (Van Dyke).This illustrates how The Avenger felt horrified for the condition of the people.
