In Innercity girl like me, vengeance, violence, and love are prominent. The main characters, G-Child, Jessica, Gina, and Violet, there main motif so far has been the urge for vengeance against the Street Ryders. They often have vengeance against anyone who tries to pick fights with any other fellow Diablo and they often use this as a sign of love. For example, when G-Childs boyfriend Jay gets out of prison, he picks side with the Street Ryders while going against his original gang, Diablos. This triggers Gina right away to get revenge on him and is proud of her payback because she believes he got what he deserves. They use vengeance as a sense of protectionism, and a sign of love.
