Venezuela The Orinoco Dolphin is found in Venezuela’s Orinoco river. Venezuela is located in South America surrounded by Colombia, Brazil, Guyana, and Caribbean sea. “It contains some of the world’s oldest and most mysterious geologic formations, the world’s highest waterfall, and some of the world’s rarest and most unusual flowers fish, birds, and animals”(Winter 3). Venezuela interesting geography, humid climate, presidential republic government, poor economy, intriguing culture, and fun facts are all stated below. Venezuela has a very unique geography. Venezuela is located in the northern part of South America, in the middle of Guyana and Colombia. It is about 352,144 square miles. The main water sources include the Atlantic ocean and the Caribbean sea. Half of Venezuela is covered by beaches and forest. The other half includes plains, grasslands, deserts, and mountains. Some of those include Andes mountains, maracaibo lowlands, Guiana highlands, and the central plains known as Llanos. As a result, Venezuela has a very peculiar geography. …show more content…
Venezuela has a tropical climate, meaning it is hot and humid. The two main seasons summer or dry and winter or wet. The dry season is November to May. The wet season is from June to October. During the wettest month August and October, there is an annual rainfall of 145 millimeters. January through April are the driest months. Then there is only about 8 millimeters of rainfall. The coldest month is January and the average temperature ranges from 2 to 13 degrees celsius. The warmest months are from May to September. The average temperature for these months ranges from 8 to 32 degrees celsius. The climate may differ for the mountain regions. Therefore the climate in Venezuela is not
