Venezuela Persuasive Speech

(Applause) Thank you.

I would like to take a moment to thank the former President, Nicolas Maduro, the Vice President Jorge Arreaza, and the rest of the executive board but especially all the citizens of Venezuela who supported me all along. Our country, rich in history, has suffered in many aspects, but we have stood by strong. This suffering will come to an end. All of this will change and I, as the newly elected President, will do all that is needed in order for this to change for the better. It will surely be difficult, but it is possible and achievable in only a matter of years. We have to reconstruct our country little by little, but I will work with my board so that we meet all of our goals. We will not just be the excellent country of Venezuela we once were but much more.
I will strive to tackle our country’s biggest issues in the following areas:

I completely agree with the majority since a country that does not provide its citizens with the basic human needs, it is a highly dysfunctional country. We want to reverse this immediately. How can any government not believe when its citizens say they cannot easily access such items? There are mothers with newborn babies, infants, and toddlers who cannot find diapers. Diapers! If they do then they must show proof that they have a young child. In practically any country, this is not a problem so why does it continue being one in ours. I propose that we can change this by facilitating the restocking of products in stores. If the Newseum is torn down, the first amendment will not have a place to be celebrated just for itself, so there will be no place to celebrate the first American Constitutional freedom. President Trump is pressuring Congress into passing a bill that will start a project to make room for new monuments. The project will consist of tearing down monuments that the government feels are unnecessary. The project will ruin DC and the American spirit. If the bill does pass, the Newseum should definitely not be torn down since it is a reminder of what America is, it will have horrible economic effects on the country, and tearing it down will diminish the American spirit.…

Imagine starting a new school, in a new state, maybe even a new country. On the first day of class looking around, seeing you 're the only one whose skin color is not white, you’re the only one with dark curly hair, and you 're the only one who “doesn’t belong.” Upon entering the classroom you hear comments like “It 's a Mexican”, “Do you even speak English?”, “How did you cross the border?” That 's what students like Natalia Martinez, Genesis Garcia, Kendrick Rosado, and I had to deal with when starting a new school. Students have taken it upon themselves to decide where someone is from and how they got here.…

After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them. At the introduction of my speech I believe I started out fairly strong and gave a good run down of the coming speech.…
