The Pahkola people have two leaders for their ceremonies on that is in charge of leading the deer dances and one that is in charge of the pahkolam. Both leaders are call Moro, and the leader of the deer dance wears a black mask, but the other dancers were their created masks for the dance. The mask are commonly worn on the back or left side of the head and when a Pahkola person dies the mask is also places on the top of Pahkola person’s head when they are buried, along with a note.
