A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat, poultry, or fish. Vegetarians eat mainly fruit, vegetables, grains, legumes, seeds, and nuts. Many eat eggs and dairy products but avoid hidden animal products such as beef and chicken stocks, gelatin, and lard.
