I thought the article was well written. The article began by stating that vegetarian diet is more effective than non-vegetarian diet when it comes to weight lost. After stating that it is more effective the article turn to giving example. The example is a study of 12 diet trial that involve over 1,151 participant who follow a strict diet plan for nine to 74 week. Out of all the participant who follow the 12 diet the vegan diet participant lost more weight than their counterpart. Research found that a vegan diet even when consume more have lesser calories and cause the participant to be fuller. I have never thought about going vegan but now I am curious about taking that dive to test it out myself. The article show me that there is proof and …show more content…
The article explained that whole-grain and vegetables have low glycemic index and do not cause blood sugar to spike. Than it goes on to say fruits are rich in fiber, anti-oxidants, minerals and protective chemicals that naturally occur in plants. After that the article goes back and talk about whole-grain and how it contain soluble fiber and how it delay the speed by which food leaves the stomach and ensures good digestion. I have learn a lot by reading just this article and by that have change my mindset and how I perceive fruits and vegetables.

The author have lots of valuable information. The valuable information that I took from this article is about the fruits and vegetable and what they have in them that can better our health. There are a lot of ways that I can use this information. One way is by using this information when I am going to the store and looking to buy me some foods. With the information I have I can now pick healthier foods and most of all grabbing lots of fruits and vegetables. Another way is by recognizing the payoff if changing what you eat. When I am eating out or looking at that delicious candy I can always look back and see myself as a healthy young men if I eat the right foods than to eat the wrong food and seeing myself always tire, sleepy, and having extra weight. A third way is to keep practicing and getting more information about the topic and to always be on top of things. By always knowing the best and healthiest food, fruits and vegetable I can always for sure know what to choose from. The fourth and final way is to acknowledge what I will lose if I continue to do what I always do. It is always good to remind myself that what I did and the past did not work for me and have not work for me so there is nothing to lose when I have nothing to
