Decent Essays
I have several people traveling during the week of November 7, 2016 through the Veteran day weekend that starts Friday, November 121, 2016, and they will be leaving their POV’s at Keystone for 8 days while they use the Government vehicle to travel. Please let me know if I need anything for security not to tow or watch out for these vehicles during the normal course of their duties. Thanks in advance.

If a child needed therapy, they received it outside of the school. Sometimes the therapist will speak with the teachers and let them know what individual needs and skills the student is addressing in therapy and the teachers will incorporate that into the school as best as they can. Easter Seals School was a school for children with special needs and cognitive issues from 4-22 years old.…

Curanderismo has been a presence in my life since I was very young. Growing up in a small community in Northern New Mexico ensured that I was exposed to traditional medicine and alternative forms of spirituality. This class was not my first exposure to curanderismo, though many of the readings and videos helped clarify and explain many of the elements of curanderismo that had been present in my life, but had not been explained. Curanderismo is just as much of a form of cultural expression as it is a form of traditional healing. Personally, curanderismo is a link to my cultural and family history, helping to continue traditions that my family has had for generations.…

In the film Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, it has shown me how much young girls and women in worldwide are not getting the equal opportunities compared to men. As I was watching the film, many young girls are not getting educated due to their non-supportive environments where their family traditions are for women to be working for the family as they do not believe in women getting education, and as a girl they are to be married off to or sell their body to support family financially. Before I watched this film, I knew women in other countries did not get education because their family economic situations and unsupportive family for females in the household, but these ideas were just so normalized to…

Just like a Caterpillar bursting out of its cocoon and transforming into a butterfly, It is evident that the transition from childhood to adulthood is a difficult and confusing time for many, but in most cases, the great transformation and lessons learned are well worth the struggle endured. “A Sunrise on the Veld”, written by Doris Lessing is a coming of age story about a boy who goes comes to the harsh realization that all things living, including himself, must die. The Dream of the Rood The Dream of the Rood is an Old English, allegorical retelling of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ from a different point of view. Many seem to think this poem is only told from the point of view of the cross that Jesus was crucified on, but an additional interpretation is that this story is told seemingly through the point of view of a normal man, but in all actuality it is the retelling of the vision that Jesus had before he was arrested and his acceptance of his duty to be sacrificed for the forgiveness of sinners. There are three sections of The Dream of the Rood.…
