Smooth Transition is a first-year student summer pre-orientation and year-long peer mentoring program that seeks to support underrepresented domestic and help them transition smoothly to college. Most smooth Transition students are often African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Latinos, and Native Americans. Being a smooth transition requires selflessness as the program unpaid and requires one to dedicate their time to helping another student, as most of the time, the smooth mentors can be the only one that the student can depend on.
