The unit was found at the Grand Canyon two years after the launch
A GoPro camera that was launched to the stratosphere was found to be lying at the Grand Canon two years after its owners lost contact to it.

In a report written by Nicholas St. Fleur for the New York Times, the unit, which was attached to a Samsung phone, was told to have been found by a hiker who went on a strolling journey at the Arizona desert.

The unit was attached to a weather balloon by a group of students who had been working on a dissertation about Ved Chirayath’s Fluid Lensing, which refers to the process of gathering underwater
