“At least, this baby’s not bad-looking,” Deanna said approvingly. “Mike looked a bit like a monkey.
“He did grow out of it” Tim pointed out defensively.
“Yeah, thank goodness I was a bit worried there for a while”. Deanna stroked the new one’s nose with a contemplative forefinger. “This one takes after your side, Vast Improvement Mine always did have its problems”.
Tim laughed. “I seem to think you were complaining Mike had got your grandfather’s knees last time we were in here, not”, he added fairly “that my lot are known for their great knees”.
Deanna grinned and blew him a kiss.” I’d hate to swell your ego, so I won’t tell you what I think your lot should be known for!
