Definition Of Art

Definitions are not only the ones found in dictionaries. They can be feelings and opinions mixed together in regards to a certain topic or thing. Because there is endless amounts of ways to view something there is controversy. For example, the topic of art. Art has been the main form of expression since the beginning of time. As time evolves the definition of art changes. Although some stick to the original definition from Merriam-Websters dictionary others embrace the wonderful advancements. But due to the fact that there is many views of art, credit where credit is due, fails. Technology has reached an all sky high in our lives. Everything we do revolves around it including art. The way I define art is something that expresses emotion towards a topic and created with dedication, passion, and meaning no matter what the form is. Whether the form of art is a graffiti or a video games the cause and effects are similar along with they have to offer in a compare and contrast aspect. Some examples of how two different forms of art are related are the works of Princess Hijab and the work of Tommy Refenes. Even though they are two completely different forms of art they are very similar related and eventually have the same effect on their audience and we must accept them. The New York Times, Art and Design experts have talked about the evolution of art and how there is new forms of it because everything has changed. “What’s changed? Volume: quieter. Those individuals may argue that graffiti is breaking the law and is a crime rather than art or form of expression but Princess Hijab’s purpose was not to vandalism but to state a position, like a protest and that is certainly not against the law. In Tommy Refenes case, he creates video games but people may think that his works are a just a form of corruption and pastime instead of art. But what if we analyze the process he goes through to create a video game. He must first come up with an idea,sketch it out and start with an outline and work his way through. During the process things like patterns, colors, textures, levels, rules and pictures come into play. The process could almost be identical to that of creating a painting if you subtract the technology part of creating a video games. No matter what the counterarguments are, we can not deny that the different forms of art are all
