O goddess, you are milk of the earth, queen of exaltation, you are beautiful to attract whole world and manifested as an empress of all rivers, please make me free from my sin.

Sow Gujarat, Dynamic Gujarat
Yati, Mati and Sati these are main three pride Rivers for Gujarat. Yati means Narmada, Mati means Sabarmati and Sati means Mahisagar. Marriage place (Meeting) of Mahi and Sea is “Vaherakhadi”.

Introduction
Vaherakhadi village lies on Vasad-Dakor road, 17 km away from Anand city a district headquarter and 7 km away from Vasad highway. Where Dharnath mahadev has sat up on River bank to become a witness of a meeting of Mahi River to Sea (Originally marriage place).

Jaivik Van: With information on importance of the trees for livelihood security, some trees that are associated with life requirement and income generation have been planted here such as Mahua, Rayan, Charoli, Nilgiri, Ardusi, Jamun etc.
Nariyeli Van: When famous Mahisagar van is created on river bank, So how can we forget a famous traditional song “ Nadi Kinarev Nadiyeri re……..” Therefore, to keeping this in mind, total 25 species of palm tree have been planted in Mahisagar Van.
Naksatra Van: There is specific tree species represent specific zodiac, galaxy and planet. Thus, we should plant according trees and protect it.
Panchvati Forest: Panchavati means group of five species such as khijado, limdo, vad. Ambada and pipado.
Zodiac Forest (Rashi Van): According to astrology, zodiac play vital role in lives of human being. Plantation and protection of zodiac representative tree is believed to brigs good luck in life.

At one time, the village was a big town with 52 markets and 84 crossroads, in which Bhammariyo well was the main attraction in town. However, the town was destroyed due to flood in Mahisagar River, but still the Bhammariyo well is standing to become a witness of the old town. Drinking water was provided to inhabitants of Vaherakhadi town from Bhammariya well. Today’s Vaherakhadi village was settled in Sanvat 1812. Inhabitants of the old town have been settled in some big cities like Ahmadabad during flood, thus Nani Chhipyal, Moti Chhipyal and Ode has a place known as “Vaheriya no dahelo” in Ahmadabad. Ram tekari temple, Lagna chori, Elephant stone, Badiyadev temple and Bhammariyo well, these are the ancient relics are found here.

Main attractions of the Mahisagar Van
Beautiful entrance gate, forest path, forest cottage, Colorful flowers, Children Park, Ground with the loan, Wildlife models etc add more beauty in Mahisagar Van.
