In this assignment I will be identifying the main value issues as well as that I will also be looking at the anti-oppressive issues, within the case study and considering solutions to resolve them.
Social work values consists of personal values that are unique to the individual derived from the individual’s life including family, education and cultural influences. The professional values are also based on the principles within the social work organisation such as BASW code of ethics and HCPC guidelines. Social worker within this case study has the power to support and meet the family’s needs, by reviewing the care plan and the concerns associated with both of the children as well as the family as a whole. Reviewing care plans and concerns will enable the social worker to gain an understanding of the family in order to support the family and meet their needs (Nzira and Williams, 2009).
Furthermore the social worker of this case study needs to respect diversity and gain accurate knowledge of the Ansar family.
