Cultivation theory refers to that when the media systematically portray certain messages, the mainstream audience is affected by those massages and fail to distinguish the reality between the real world and the media. The value systems and worldview in the media may affect the audience. Therefore, some stereotypes may be established. The audience could also start to copy the actions from the media and try to change the real world like the content in the media without their consciousness.
