No one is available on site for these needs. However, many employee often take extended time off due to burnout. Mental health days are not available. The only time this is an option is if you have been approved for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). If an unscheduled absence is taken, although it is due to medical issues, it documented against you for a year. This adds to the stress of employees. It causes employees to come into work when they should be taking a break. To help with these issues, rather than all of the time being considered vacation time, sick days should be allowed without penalty. This could include mental health days as well.
