Value of a Team Environment The team structure is the most effective solution when one department has hundreds of employees. It allows the department to group off and form sampler groups called teams. The teams can then specialize in specific roles. This allows one department to complete large, complex roles. Using an accounting department for example. One team may be responsible for creating bills, while another team may be responsible for reconciling. The team culture of the organization is an asset to the employees, as well as the organization. Team members collaborate to resolve issues. This is usually informative because each member has the opportunity to learn something new that they may not have been exposed to before. This …show more content…
The supervisors are then informed of the changes to be implemented. The supervisor of coaches is given the responsibility to report this information to those that serve in the coaching role. This is to prepare a plan to implement the changes to the front line workers. Coaches are notified via email when the roll-out time has come. The front line workers are informed of the changes on the organization 's internal website. The amount of information given varies. There are times this information is communicated, giving full disclosure. Then, there are times when the announcement will say, details to come. Major changes are discussed with front line employees during team meetings. The method of communicating is effective. If the information given to the call center manager is released immediately to front line employees, it may cause an unjust panic. With each leader being informed systematically, it allows for adjustment on each level. This allows the leadership team to be prepared to properly facilitate the change with the front line employees. You could schedule a fifteen minute massage on your break. Then there were routine stretch breaks done in the individual teams. Our most recent items were stress balls with the company logo. Mental health benefits are available through the company 's insurance plan. There are services available for crisis situations. Long term mental health benefits are available also. No one is available on site for these needs. However, many employee often take extended time off due to burnout. Mental health days are not available. The only time this is an option is if you have been approved for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). If an unscheduled absence is taken, although it is due to medical issues, it documented against you for a year. This adds to the stress of employees. It causes employees to come into work when they should be taking a break. To help with these issues, rather than all of the time being considered vacation time, sick days should be allowed without penalty. This could include mental health days as well. When someone is not able to get the needed break, it adds to the anxiety. Having an emergency hotline for burnout would be a good option. Having options available for those that feel they are approaching burnout is
