1. Independent Physician Programs- this program usually involve developing of contracts with the physician groups. The hospitals develop and refine the programs to support and align with physicians who wish to be independent. These are flexible programs and can be either short-term or long-term. Clinical Integrated Network or Accountable Care Organizations (ACO)- this includes both employed and independent physicians who are aligned through clinical programs and some other value-based programs as the healthcare changed after the ACA implementation from volume-base care to value-based care. By these the hospitals and the physician networks and other healthcare providers clinically integrate so that they can negotiate with the managed care companies and health plans so that the quality of care can be improved and the efficiency of care can also be improved.
