I am only able to volunteer at the shelter once a week due to other commitments. I am considered a full-time student at Las Positas College where I would like to major in chemistry. I work approximately 20 hours a week. I am a barista at Starbucks. All these commitments have taught me new skills and honed old ones, such as time management. I have learned to balance out my life so that I am not overwhelmed and still able to do the things that I love. It has also taught me responsibility and following procedures and making executive decisions.
