This information was found in the diary of Dr. Albigence Waldo (Document C). They were starving from poor food and were becoming miserable. As Dr. Albigence Waldo stated in his diary, “Heartily wish myself at home, my skin and eyes are almost spoil’d with continual smoke.” Aside from just dying, they were also found to be very ill and sick.
