Chapter Two

Carter's POV

RECAP

_"Meet," Brick started choking a bit whilst moving his eyes back and fourth on blondie and I, "your new," I think he stopped breathing as he pulled on his collar, "partner."

Valley Boy and I shot up from our chairs, and shouted, "PARTNER!?" with fury. Together, we stared at Brick with piercing eyes- and that was the closest to partnership Brick was going to receive from Blondie and I. _

"Excuse me! Please, listen first- before jumping to any conclusions about one another or what I just said!" Brick says, only trying to calm us down. It wasn't helping, though.

"Listening," Valley Boy and I respond in sync. "don't do that," we mimic each other, "stop!" we both shouted whilst throwing our

Don't be fooled. I think he even rolled his eyes.

"Fine then, the stage is yours," he announces. My turn to roll my eyes.

"19, lived in New York my whole life, highest ranked agent in the east coast of the United States, and my name is Carter Davis- and I don't recommend you call me anything else other than Carter," straight to the point, just how I like it.

"Wait- you're, t- the legacy of THE Th- Thomas Davis?!" He inquired, I nodded- mentally stabbing myself in the face because of the amount of times I've been asked this question. "You must have had such a great role model to look up to and train with didn't you?"

I've never examined their case files before. I prefer to do the action part of the job instead of the paperwork. Anyways, damn." Clark stated whilst sporting a 'holy-shit-dude' face. This guys is so fucking arrogant and ignorant. Excuse me? How are you even the highest ranking agent in the west coast? I am extremely offended that my title is even close to his. Action part of the job- instead of the paperwork? Are you fucking kidding me? I can only handle so much stupidity. "I mean I do, do paperwork, but it's so boring most of the time and once in a while I'll just ask the rookies to fill me in on what I should know and finish the work for me." This fucking shithead, I want to strangle you.

"You're kidding me, right?" He shook his head in confusion. "You're a fucking agent- a pretty high ranked one to be specific. You ask the mother fucking "rookies" to do your paperwork? How are you even- why is he, this is so offensive to my title." I finished, but wanted to add so much more, like; Why are youe even here- can you get out of my face, you dickweed. But maybe that would be too
