There are several reasons as to why some believe there is a link but the most popular is how the signs of autism are first seen at around the same time the MMR vaccine is administered. The MMR vaccine is given to children twice during adolescents, at one year and at around 4 years. As these parents noticed the close proximity in the time of the vaccination and the diagnosis, they formed a link between the …show more content…
Major degree of influence goes over how certain factors have a large influence on the effect. The effect of this topic is the diagnosis of autism and the factor that actually causes this is the process in which doctors use to diagnose. As the CDC reported, “Diagnosing autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be difficult, since there is no medical test, like a blood test, to diagnose the disorders. Doctors look at the child’s behavior and development to make a diagnosis” (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Even the CDC reports that the diagnosis system has flaws. On a side note, there are believers who think that the government and agencies like the CDC are being payed off by companies to keep vaccines going; however, the amount of money that a company would offer could never compare to the amount of money the government pays in disability to families with autistic children. If there were to be a blood test as the CDC said, diagnoses would be accurate and less subject, reducing the influence of a doctor’s interpretation and influence on the diagnosis. Overall, the most important causal category for this topic is the hidden relation to the observer, as if the process is unknown, the observer can not fully understand the topic and potential
