Vaccines are an easy way to prevent diseases. Vaccinations have gotten rid of many diseases including measles, diphtheria, rubella, and polio. They have also significantly reduced the rate of many other diseases such as chicken pox and pertussis in the United States. The Center Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) has a list of every preventable disease everybody living in the United States should take to ensure their health and safety. Everybody in the United States should be vaccinated against each of the diseases the CDC recommends.

The article “Evidence Shows Vaccines Unrelated to Autism” stated, multiple organizations have concluded that there is no link between autism and vaccines including the World Health Organization, European Medicines Agency, Health Canada, and the Institute of Medicine (“Evidence Shows Vaccines,” 2015). The article also stated, “After reviewing more than 200 studies in 2004 and more than 1,000 studies in 2011, the consensus report strongly stated that the evidence did not show a link between vaccines and autism” (“Evidence Shows Vaccines,” 2015). It was also proven that thimerosal does not have an effect on the brain. They noted that thimerosal is “(1) excreted from the body quickly, and (2) not easily transported across the blood-brain barrier (a structure of tightly packed cells that keeps potentially harmful substances in the bloodstream from entering the brain” (“Evidence Shows Vaccines,” 2015). The amount of thimerosal is a safe amount and is not strong enough to cause autism. Since autism does not cause vaccines, it is important to know what can happen if people do not get
