The article “Evidence Shows Vaccines Unrelated to Autism” stated, multiple organizations have concluded that there is no link between autism and vaccines including the World Health Organization, European Medicines Agency, Health Canada, and the Institute of Medicine (“Evidence Shows Vaccines,” 2015). The article also stated, “After reviewing more than 200 studies in 2004 and more than 1,000 studies in 2011, the consensus report strongly stated that the evidence did not show a link between vaccines and autism” (“Evidence Shows Vaccines,” 2015). It was also proven that thimerosal does not have an effect on the brain. They noted that thimerosal is “(1) excreted from the body quickly, and (2) not easily transported across the blood-brain barrier (a structure of tightly packed cells that keeps potentially harmful substances in the bloodstream from entering the brain” (“Evidence Shows Vaccines,” 2015).
