The author happens to use logos and pathos, in the passage, he used logos by using a chart that labels, "The Impact of Vaccines in the United States," with the percent decrease, 2009 cases, Baseline 20th Century Pre-Vaccine Annual Cases, and the name of the diseases. The writer used pathos by the number of people that dont' get vaccanted it's more liekly for you to get sick or have a disease. The author used logos by stating, "Widespread use of vaccines in the United States has eliminated or almost eliminated infectious diseases that were once terrifying household names. *Single case of oral vaccine-associated polio in 2009, just by using the chart." This quote is evident because they used real facts about the diseases that they have had in 2009. Another example the author use logs were that the chart is to be the impact in the United States. In the source, "Vaccine Benefits" published by National Institue of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, the author uses pathos by trying to scare you and get a vaccination. The writer states, "Vaccines protect not only yourself but also others around you. If your vaccine-primed immune system stops an illness before it starts, you will be contagious for a much shorter period of time, or perhaps not at all. Similarly, when other people are vaccinated, they are less likely to give the disease to you. Vaccines protect not only individuals but entire communities. That is why vaccines are vital to the public health goal of preventing diseases." This evidence is evident because, the author shows scarce in don't u dont get a vacction. Another example the writer shows pathos is becuase of how much it can spread to people and then how fast you you can get a disease. This clam is strong becasue, the author is for you getting s vaccation and the other people geting sick or getting a deasise
