There are millions of potentially fatal diseases around the world that are incredibly dangerous, but so many of them could be avoided with a simple vaccination. According to the World Health Organisation it was said that approximately 134,200 infants who weren’t vaccinated died in 2015 from measles alone. That’s 15 deaths an hour! That’s 360 deaths a day caused by not taking a moment to vaccinate a child against a disease. If at least 95% of the worlds’ population was vaccinated against all preventable diseases, then the disease wouldn’t be able to find many non-vaccinated hosts and eventually die out. There are obviously quite a few valid reasons as to why people wouldn’t get vaccinated such as, an allergy toward an ingredient, an already existing disease that prevents you from vaccinating or maybe even age. But if you can those people are even more reason to get vaccinated and save the people who cannot save themselves. There are many people around the world who use these examples as a reason not to get vaccinated but if too many people opt out of getting vaccinated for no good reason than the chance of an outbreak will increase, and may have terrible results.
