Boys and girls ages 9 to 26 should be vaccinated against HPV. Children now a days are having sexual intercourse earlier than ever before. We are teaching our children about sex but are leaving out some of the most important part of the conversation, which is how to protect themselves from sexual transmitted diseases. Depending on the children’s home environment and school requirements they may not be receiving enough information on how to prevent STD’s particularly one called Human papillomavirus (HPV) and how to prevent them. HPV will affect an estimated 75% to 80% of males and females in their lifetime.
