Vacation In Florida

Destin, Florida In my opinion Florida is a good vacation spot. There may be a few bad things, but it always end up being fun. The first thing I noticed when we arrived in Destin was that all the people we talked to spoke english. I found this a little weird, because Florida is one of the top four states for immigration. The race was pretty well mixed though. There were mainly caucasians, a little less African Americans, and even less hispanics. When we went to Florida there was an even more amount of people due to the popular vacation spot. Of course we were all hungry, but good thing most of the restaurants were family friendly, because if not we would have all been stuck with large amounts of seafood. Even though we were in a restaurant …show more content…
As we were walking to the beach on the stairs, the lizards were unreal. Everywhere you looked you would see a green long tail or a tiny little green head. Florida must be invaded with lizards. As we all get to the beach you can hear the waves crashing along the sand and dragging anything close with it. If it weren't for the tides there would be no fun seashells to look at on the beach. The beach is so much more fun especially if the weather is nice. Usually in Florida the weather is the best. I’m assuming that's why it's known as the sunshine state. Another known thing I love about Florida are the palm trees. Better known as the Sabal Palmetto. Florida is definitely a cool place to visit all because of the nature surrounding …show more content…
They also come for all the family attractions. For example, Village of Baytowne Wharf. The major things of Baytowne Wharf are the family attractions, shopping and great restaurants. Another cool thing about Destin are the white sand beaches and the crystal clear water. Some major things that cause people to leave would be too hot of a climate for certain people. Another major thing would be the over population. Older people move there to relax and enjoy the rest of their life, but there are constantly new people coming in. Like me I enjoy the smell of burning leaves and the fresh drop of snow. The people living down in the south don’t exactly get to have the enjoyment of the leaves or snow. This may cause them to move somewhere different. The biggest fear of mom’s is the belief sharks are going to eat you if you get up to your knees in water, so people with small children are most likely not going to be living on the beach. Florida is mainly for teens, college students, and elderly

My number one food to eat there is Spaghetti and Meatballs. Sometimes after we eat at a restaurant, I go to the store with my mom to get Florida Root Beer. That's one of my favorite memories!
