Knowledge needed to teach the visual performing arts would include having knowledge regarding Dance, Music, Theatre, and the visual arts. The connections I would make with the VPA framework to the course I have taken would be when I took my Art 101 Looking into Art class in Compton Community college. In that class we covered representational, abstract, and nonrepresentational works of art, which relates to the third grade standard 3.3 where students have to distinguish and describe representational, abstract, and non-representational works of art. For the VPA I will be using one of my essays from ART 101A where we had to compare and contrast two works of art with proper art vocabulary.
