I have no problems being a visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic learner, or all at once, if available. Although I prefer to learn hands on and by teaching others what I already know, I can adapt to any learning or teaching style. The results page read that I am 1% thinking and that since it is a minuscule distance away from feeling, I could have prevalent traits of both. This is surprising because I believe that had I taken this inventory 5 years ago, or any time before, the results would have leaned heavily toward feeling. I do still instinctively go straight to the feeling side, but over the years have learned to direct that to a thinking front and analyze things emotionally and cognitively at the same time (certain things are definitely more thinking or feeling based on the context).
I am actually very nervous about going into this collegiate experience, though I’m sure almost everyone is. I haven’t had decent grades since elementary school and never graduated high school. However, I did receive my GED (almost with honors) and am confident in my ability to succeed academically. My plan to accomplish this is simple; commitment.
Although I am an introvert, I am going to actively spend my next four years branching out and opening up to the world around me. I have joined some extracurricular activities, am trying to take front row seats and participate in the classes that I am enrolled in, and have given my contact information to a number of shared-major students in order to make myself available for any help I can offer. While this may not seem like much, to me these are gigantic steps and through the years I plan to expand on
