After completing the VARK assessment, I learned that I have a multimodal learning preference. I believe this to be true. Depending on what I am learning, I will use a different learning still to grasp what is being taught to me. I was aware of this prior to taking the test. For example, when I am learning a new procedure at work, I pick up the procedure quicker when the person shows me the process, provide a quick reference guide, and also provide some personal detail to task to help them with the procedure. I believe I am more of a kinesthetic learner above all the other learning preferences. I learn best when it’s a hands-on project or if I relate to the task.
