V-J day is as celebratory day for the Americans. The main focus of V-J day is on Japan. This is a day where people celebrate Japan’s surrender. Americans introduced their new weapons to Japan and they dropped nukes into the areas. After many nukes, and many destroyed cities, this big devastation in Japan forced to Japanese to surrender or else their entire nation would be utterly destroyed. They finally chose to surrender on August 14, 1945. Even though V-J day was only one day, people celebrate two days, August 14th and 15th. The Japanese surrendered on the U.S.S. Missouri, anchored in Tokyo Bay. Japan surrendered by signing a Peace Treaty . This practically stopped the entire war. In contrast to V-J day, V-E day is a day celebrating the
