E for Evey?
In the comic book, V for Vendetta by Alan Moore, Evey Hammond has developed and changed as a character. Evey was first none important and did not have a big role in what V did. Throughout the comic book, Evey become more and more important to the story line. She later on becomes a crucial character and finishes V’s plan.
Evey Hammond is a sixteen year old girl who develops as a character throughout this comic book. Her mother died and her father was taken away, so she has a very hard childhood. She struggles to survive on her own, and this results to her being a prostitute. On the first night of her prostitution, she awfully tries to lure in a man who then is revealed as a fingerman. Right before the group of fingerman try to rape her, a man comes in and saves her. We soon find out that this man's name is V. We later find out that V develops as a fatherly figure to Evey. Evey trust V and confinds in him the story of her parents. She feels as if she need to repay his kindness by helping him in his vendetta.
Once V has Evey help, he dresses Evey up as a young girl and sends her to Anthony James Lilliman, who is a paedophile bishop that he has targeted. Evey feels guilty for helping V with his murder plot and is later on abandoned by V. Evey is alone on the streets when she meets a man named Gordon Deitrich. …show more content…
She sees the control room and how he is completing these challenging killings. V gives Evey a small parcel and explains that it contains a powerful explosive, gelignite. Evey states she will not kill anyone, and V does not respond, but says that anarchy has two faces; one of creation and one of destruction. V leads Evey in to the lowest room where a old fashion train sits. V instructs Evey to place the gelignite inside the train. V leads Evey back up the stair.
