Uwc Experience

UWC is a one in a lifetime experience. I am aware that it values compassion, service, integrity, respect and difference. For that, i would be more than proud to be a part of such a community. UWC colleges offer a lot to ensure that the future is in safe hands, that we as individuals are driven by the need to nurse the earth’s wounds before they scar, to offer a hand to those in need, to be the pillars of the earth. I believe that i can fit into this community and that i can succeed in satisfying the missions and values of UWC, as i am hell-bent on making a difference in what our world has come to be. However just like everyone else I need a push. I need to face challenges and be able conquer them. So, in short, I need the UWC experience.

My goals in life are not at all easy to achieve, but they are worth achieving for sure. My goal is to help smooth the wrinkles of our world. Although this can’t be accomplished in one instant, l try to do as much as I can every day, whether it be picking up garbage, comforting someone, providing someone with advice, debating in MUN, or whether it’s changing someone’s view on how they choose to look at a certain thing. I try to do all these things because I know no matter how small or big a change is, It’s still a change nonetheless. It’s still a step forward rather than

It will open my eyes and allow me to see the things that I haven't once noticed or comprehended. It will provide me with a sense of understanding that cannot be undermined. UWC will provide me with a chance to broaden my interests and develop my strengths in particular subjects and activities. I say this because i know what UWC stands for, how it celebrates difference rather than scurry away from it. How it guides us to be sustainable leaders rather than destructive leaders. How it sets much store by human rights. How its propelling us to be our own person and take matters into our own

is what led them to find the pleasure and happiness in their life, and this in return affected their involvement in service. Greg Boyle’s work, on the other hand, focused on the idea of advocacy, and this deeply affected the manner in which I viewed my own involvement at Samaritans. Boyle was working with individuals who were deemed as the lowest members of society, and this is parallel to the people who use Samaritans as a service. Through the work that Boyle did, he was able to listen to the needs of these individuals by simply being their friend, and was able to advocate for them to be able to better their positions in society. Similarly, at Samaritans, I learned to befriend individuals and advocated for them as members of society through…

One of the reasons I would be honored to be a student ambassador is because I want to introduce and familiarize other prospective students with the school that I love so much, that has opened so many doors of opportunities, introduced me to so many amazing people, and has given me a top notch education. I want to encourage students who are perhaps unsure if WSU is right for them, or if college in general is right for them, that WSU and all that it has to offer makes it the place for anyone, from all backgrounds, all experiences, and all areas of interests.
