God choosing is mentioned not just in Romans and Ephesians letters but also can be found in John 15:16 which states “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit”. Referred also in 2 Timothy 2:19 “Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness”. As we can see God has his hand in all situations in lives from the Old Testament time period and still has his hand in situations in today’s time
