Using Snapchat In Popular Social Media

Social media has become a worldwide popularity growth that has led teenagers and young adults to stay focused on what is happening around the world. Although there are tons of social networks globally, Snapchat is positioned as the fourth among other top social networks. Fifty percent of college students say they use Snapchat as a helpful resource of communication with other users. With over 400 million pictures posted every day, Snapchat has given students the ability to positively interact more frequently than on any other social network with friends on personal basis, thus resulting in great communication.
The features on Snapchat has increased tremendously and has given students many opportunities to interact more frequently with friends. With features, such as taking pictures and videos, students are able to record or take a “snap,” a picture (aka selfie), of themselves or build visual narratives. These “snaps” and videos can be viewed in only a matter of seconds. You are only allowed to view shared images or video clips between one to ten seconds, in which only the user who posted the picture gets to set this feature. The app allows all users to message each other without using any type of photo or video communication. This is a convenient alternative to text messaging, due to the fact that it uses Wi-Fi rather than cellular data. You can either compose a personalized message or send a specific Snapchat Discover Story. Along with messages, you can share already saved photos, not taken on Snapchat, and send them to individual Snapchat friends. This feature is great for sharing things such as vacation photos and personal information. Anything that is sent individually is automatically deleted unless saved by the viewer.
