Although group work is not suitable for every individual, the writer would consider group therapy to be an effective model of intervention as it provides an opportunity for interpersonal relationships to be explored and the support, respect and feedback from others facilitate understanding into dysfunctional behavioural patterns and through this insight change can occur.
