I was using ABC Chart behavioral observation and behavior management plans to assess the child behavior. Using Brault Behavior Checklist (Brault, 2005, p.6-10) is to help me understanding the behavior based on reflect on my experiences with challenging behavior. Another tool is the Positive Behavior Support (PBS). PBS is a process of understanding and addressing the problems of child behavior and provides an approach to developing an understanding of why children engage in problem behaviors and strategies to prevent the occurrence of behavioral problems while teaching child new skills.
