which Prospero and Miranda took from him and then made him a chattel. Caliban had a reason to be angry. When Caliban finally decied he had enough, he asked Trinculo and Stephano if they would help him by killing Prospero. ¨Whithin this hour will he be asleep/ Wilt thou destroy him then?¨(Shakespeare 3.2. 124-125) He promised them a good life and promised Stephano that Miranda was a beautiful woman and would make a great wife. He was tired of being abused and treated like garbage all he wanted was a friend and to feel safe again, which he felt like he had gotten when he met the two men. They treated him pleasent , which Prospero never did, they gave him alcohol, attention, and protection from Prospero. Caliban was also treated like a monster because of his looks. He was dirty and ragged because Prospero did not take care of him. He forced him to do hard labour and only giving him breaks to sleep and eat. When people saw him they did not see another man, intead they saw a hidious creature. He was never treated like another human, but instead Caliban was treated almost like an animal. He was only given food and shelter to keep him alive, not because Prospero wanted to help
