Most of the time you use your imagination and put yourself in the author’s or in character 's writings, as if you 're in the story. Then try to relate and analyze the things that go on in people’s lives in the book. Use sudden ideas, and their own lifestyle to connect and feel right into what they 're reading. In these three poems I have chosen from packet, has practical purpose only because I feel a connection with my own life compared to the poem. In this poem, “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid it shows all the positive traits and qualities a female should have. Being called out of your name, and getting the negative perspective of others is something women hate. A mother should raise you to your full potential and teach you how to be a woman. Care for your own and act like a lady.
