The use of drones’ also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is one of the debatable and controversial issues in America. Drones are remote-controlled aircrafts that are used in wars to carry and unleash bombs and missiles for attack (Drones, 2014). According to history, the first drone ever been used to attack is in the year 1849, is when Habsburg Austrian Empire released the drones to attack the citizens of Venice during their revolution. Ever since, the Americans have also adopted the use of drones to attack their opponents. American released their drones for an attack in Sep. 11, 2001. The United States attacked the suspected terrorists in Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. According to the survey that was done later in America …show more content…
The most supportive side are the Republican and the least supporters the Democrats. According to the research done by Pew, it indicated clearly that those who supported the use of drones to strike, Somalia, Yemen, and Pakistan were more. The research indicated that 61% of the American populations are in favor of the use of drones. The statistics drip down to affect political stand whereby the Democrats were rated at 59% in support, the independent at 60% and the Republican hitting the highest mark of about 69% (Henderson, 2011). Also other researches’ that were done by Gallup organization and Christian Science Monitor/TIPP has corresponded results. That means that the majority of the American supports the use of drones to fight terror. I therefore strongly addressed the Democrats, to stop fighting against the truth about the use of drones and join forces with the American government to fight terror in the world by the use of drones (Henderson, 2011). Even though they may have a counter argument that drones are unpopular to the affected countries, this is an upper hand to American to stop terror. Also, the counter argument of the Democrats is that they said that drones target militias and kills more civilians. The fatal deaths of the civilians are reduced when drones are used because, drones only combats the indented militia (Atkinson & Project Management Institute, 2014). Drones are manufactured with such accurate technology in that it enhances drones effectiveness (Drones, 2014).
