Use Of Dramatic Irony In Romeo And Juliet

In the play Romeo and Juliet there were many instances where dramatic irony was used. Most of the time it was not thought of or ignored, but I will go over three instances where dramatic irony was used in a big way.
One instance where dramatic irony was used is when Tybalt was unaware of Juliet and Romeo’s marriage and Tybalt is confused why Romeo will not fight him. In the play Romeo states “So, good Capulet, which name I tender As dearly as mine own” This shows Romeo is trying to avoid fighting knowing that it could interfere with Romeo and Juliet's relationship. The dramatic irony shown is us knowing about the marriage and that Tybalt doesn't know about.
