The United States and Canada have lot of differences. There are only a few similarities between them. Many of their similarities are physical features and only a few are statistical.
In the Western hemisphere both the United States and Canada share two oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean. However, Canada does border the Arctic Ocean alone towards the North. Also, the Five Great Lakes; Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior all are between the U.S and Canada. Starting North of Canada the Rocky Mountains travels through the Western side of both neighboring countries. The urban population, which is 81% and literacy rate, 99% are both the same for each country.
Canada has an area of 3,855,000 miles squared and the U.S is only 3,806,000 miles squared. The population of the U.S is 322,149,790 and Canada’s is only 35,749,600. The population under 15 for the United States is 18.99% and Canand’s is 15.46%. The life expectancy for the United States is 77/81 and Canada’s is 79/85. The date of of origin for the United States is 1776 when Canada’s is only 1867.

Canada’s government is a Federal Parliamentary and a Constitutional Monarchy, which leads to close ties with Queen Elizabeth 2. Canada has a Prime Minister who is named Justin Trudeau. The Capital City of Canada is Ottawa and for the U.S is Washington D.C. The official languages for the U.S is English and Spanish and for Canada it is English and French. The Gross Domestic Product per Capita is $54,600 for the United States and for Canada it is $44,800.
